The Bathymetry buoy automatically measures and transfer water depth data and is especially designed for long term arctic operations. The echo sounder is capable of measuring depths of over 4 km. Bi-directional satellite communications controls and monitors instrument settings and transmits water depth data.

A Bathmetry pilot system was successfully tested North of Spisbergen during the summer of 2010.
