  • Geothermal Energy

Norway is among world leading countries utilizing geothermal energy by use of geothermal heat pumps. CMR are hosting CGER, Norwegian Center for Geothermal Energy Research.

  • Energy systems

CMR contributes to the design and development of intelligent zero emission energy systems for future needs.

  • Geothermal Energy for Svalbard

Geothermal energy may be an alternative for the settlements on Svalbard.

  • Thermal Energy Storage for Zero Village Bergen

The ambition level for Zero Village Bergen at Aadland with 800 dwellings is that the area will be self supplied with both thermal and electric energy. CMR is involved in two research projects that investigates the potential for thermal energy storage solutions for this area.

  • Distributed seismic monitoring for geological carbon sequestration

This collaborative project seeks to develop and demonstrate distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) technology applied to geological carbon sequestration. Field tests will be performed at the Gundih CCS Pilot Project, Indonesia and the CaMi Field Research Station (FRS), Canada.

  • Geothermal4PL

Support for Sustainable Development and Use of Shallow Geothermal Energy within the Areas of the Mieszkanie Plus Programme in Poland. The Main Objectives and Planned Results of the Bilateral Polish-Norwegian Project.

  • GeoHeatPol

GeoHeatPol – Geothermal energy – a basis for low- emission heating, improving living conditions and sustainable development – preliminary studies for selected areas in Poland
